Spread the Word to End the Word

Today was our first Spread the Word to End the Word campaign at Liberty High School!

The campaign was done around the nation today to "ask people to pledge to stop saying the R-word as a starting point toward creating more accepting attitudes and communities for all people. Language affects attitudes and attitudes affect actions. Pledge today to use respectful, people-first language."

The R-Word is Retard. The word is offensive and inappropriate and we want it to stop!

It was a huge success, with many students pledging to stop using the R-word!
